RBA holds official cash rate at 0.75%: ASX closes 2.2% lower

03 Dec 2019 - It has been a disappointing day of trade for the ASX closing 2.2% lower. NRW Holdings (ASX:NWH) and Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) all experienced small rises today. Avita Medical (ASX:AVH) and Wisetech Global (ASX:WTC) dropped over 6% today. Meanwhile, LiveTiles (ASX:LVT) has completed the acquisition of CYCL, a leading intelligent intranet software business in Europe.

A big week for local economic news: ASX poised to open higher

02 Dec 2019 - Despite weak leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher this morning just ahead of a large week of local economic data to be released. China insists US tariffs must be rolled back as part of any phase one trade deal with Washington. Moelis Australia (ASX:MOE) exchanged contracts on Friday to acquire The Beach Hotel, Byron Bay for $104 million.
