Bega raises $284M: Aus shares 0.4% lower at noon

27 Nov 2020 - The Australian share market opened slightly lower and has made a modest decline in the first 2 hours of trade. Energy stocks are dragging on the market. Most of the sectors are trading in the red. Shares in Bega Cheese (ASX:BGA) have rallied this morning, after it successfully raised $284 million, via the institutional component of its 1 to 4.5 pro rata entitlement offer, and its underwritten institutional placement.

GetSwift (ASX:GSW) Federal Court hearing today: Aus shares to open modestly lower

27 Nov 2020 - Australian shares are set to open slightly lower, following a quiet night of international trade due to the closure of US markets for the Thanksgiving holiday and UK markets ending relatively flat. The Federal Court of Australia will hold a second hearing at 11am today, for the proposed scheme of arrangement between logistics software company GetSwift (ASX:GSW) and its shareholders.

Dow hits record high: ASX set to open higher this morning

25 Nov 2020 -The ASX looks set to open higher this morning as the Dow rallied yesterday hitting a record high at 30,000 points. Oil has surged to an eight-month high overnight. Tesla shares closed up after the company surpassed a $500 billion market cap yesterday. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited (ASX:FPH) today announced its results for the first half of the 2021 financial year, reporting net profit after tax was up 86%.
