30 Sep 2020 - The ASX fell at the open and is now tracking 1% lower at noon. President Trump and Joe Biden are currently locked in debate in Ohio, as US markets pulled back. Shares in Corporate Travel Management (ASX:CTD) rose today after they completed their Institutional Entitlement Offer, raising $262 million. Santos (ASX:STO) welcomes the New South Wales Independent Planning Commission’s (IPC) decision to green light the Narrabri Gas Project with conditions.

Market moving US debate due in a few hours: ASX poised to open lower

30 Sep 2020 - The ASX looks set to fall this morning as the S&P 500, the Dow and the Nasdaq all closed lower ahead of the Donald Trump and Joe Biden debate. Democrat Biden is currently leading President Trump in the polls. The debate could move the polls, and also the market. New Zealand King Salmon (ASX:NZK) recorded a profit after tax of $18 million, up 59% on FY19.

Information technology leads the sectors: ASX closes flat

29 Sep 2020 - The ASX saw a lift at the open but then dipped around lunchtime closing flat. Shares in mining contractors NRW (ASX:NRH) did well today after they updated the ASX on Gascoyne Resources litigation. Shares in Whitehaven Coal (ASX:WHC) also did well today but the A2 Milk company (ASX:A2M) didn’t fare so well.

A2 Milk (ASX:A2M) shares take a tumble: ASX tracking 0.1% higher at noon

29 Sep 2020 - The ASX rose at the open then slumped in mid-morning trade and is now tracking 0.1% higher at noon. Shares in Seven Group Holdings (ASX:SVW) are doing well today as did Janus Henderson Group (ASX:JHG). Shares in the A2 Milk (ASX:A2M) company fell this morning. Jervois Mining (ASX:JRV) has agreed to acquire the São Miguel Paulista nickel and cobalt refinery.

Global stocks rise overnight: ASX poised to open higher

29 Sep 2020 - The ASX looks set to open higher this morning as global equities rose overnight. Banks did well as they pushed the lead. In the US, Boeing nudged the Dow higher. Frankfurt closed over 3% higher. Tilt Renewables (ASX:TLT) now has all 80 turbines erected at Dundonnell Wind Farm in Western Victoria.

Tech and travel stocks shine: ASX closes 0.2% lower

28 Sep 2020 - The local share market has ended the session lower after a lacklustre day of trade. The S&P ASX 200 shed 0.2 down per cent or lost 13 points to 5952. The big banks were the main drag on the market today with Westpac shedding 1.1 per cent and NAB down to 0.8 per cent.

Banks rise on plans to soften responsible lending laws: Aus shares 1.4% higher at noon

25 Sep 2020 - The Australian share market has advanced in early trade. All of the sectors are up, with Financials leading the charge following news that the Federal Government is looking to do a backflip and wind back responsible lending laws. BGH Capital’s subsidiary which is set to purchase Village Roadshow (ASX:VRL) may not have to pay the cinema uplift of $0.08 per share.
