Early sell-off abates: ASX 0.3% lower at noon

19 Oct 2018 - The ASX opened lower this morning then saw an early sell off. Bellamys (ASX:BAL) Seven Group Holdings (ASX:SVW) and Afterpay (ASX:APT) have all seen declines. BHP (ASX:BHP) was dragging the market. Galaxy resources though (ASX:GXY) gained over 6 per cent. QEM (ASX:QEM) started trading today and Austal awarded new order from US Navy.

Banks pushed today’s rally: ASX closed 0.1% lower

19 Oct 2018 - The ASX has seen an impressive rally throughout the day as it rose on the major banks but still closed lower. Westpac (ASX:WBC) and Comm Bank (ASX:CBA) closed the week higher. The financial sector recorded its best result in four weeks. Tilt Renewables (ASX:TLT) has revised its underlying EBITDAF guidance for 2019 from a range of A$120 – A$127m to a new range of A$134 - A$138m.
