Backpedal: shares 0.12% lower at noon

19 Mar 2018 - Market at Midday: ASX started the week higher but backpedalled on staple and health stocks falling. Spark New Zealand (ASX:SPK) announced it became the first telecommunications company in NZ to switch on a 5G mobile test site. Global Geoscience (ASX:GSC) which is progressing its project in Nevada, entered the ASX300 today. Wall Street ends week on a high: Aus shares to open higher

19 Mar 2018 - Following positive leads from US markets, the Australian share market looks set to open higher. US share markets were stronger on Friday ending the day slightly up. The gains came off the back of positive factory output and consumer sentiment figures. Energy stocks were among the best performers, treasury yields rose and the dollar gained.
