09 Mar 2020 - The Australian share market haemorrhaged value today in what was its worse session since the global financial crisis. At the closing bell, the S&P/ASX 200 index closed 456 points or 7.3 per cent lower to finish at 5,761. Over the day, the market wiped out more than $137 billion dollars in value.
09 Mar 2020 - The coronavirus panic which plagued the international markets in late trade last week has now thrust the Australian market below the 6000-point mark. The S&P/ASX 200 index is 342 points lower at 5,874 at noon. Macquarie has upgraded Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) from an underperform to an outperform, with a 12 month price target of $2.10.
