Shares in GameStop surge once again: ASX poised to open higher

09 Mar 2021 - Following mixed leads from US markets, the ASX looks set to open higher The 10-year US Treasury yield traded near the 1.6% level yesterday after the US Senate passed the $1.9 trillion coronavirus economic relief and stimulus bill over the weekend. Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ) has announced a loss before other significant items and taxation of $185 million for the six month period ended 31 December 2020.

Tech stocks hit hard: ASX closed 0.4% higher

08 Mar 2021 - The ASX took a dip in afternoon trade but still managed to close 0.4 per cent higher. At the closing bell the S&P/ASX 200 index closed 29 points higher, finish at 6,740. As for the sectors, materials came out top. Omni Bridgeway (ASX:OBL) has elected to remain solely listed on the ASX.
