GetSwift (ASX:GSW) Federal Court hearing today: Aus shares to open modestly lower

27 Nov 2020 - Australian shares are set to open slightly lower, following a quiet night of international trade due to the closure of US markets for the Thanksgiving holiday and UK markets ending relatively flat. The Federal Court of Australia will hold a second hearing at 11am today, for the proposed scheme of arrangement between logistics software company GetSwift (ASX:GSW) and its shareholders.

Financial sector weighs on the market: ASX closed 0.7% lower

26 Nov 2020 - The ASX opened lower this morning and failure to gain moment closing 0.7% lower. Technology One Limited (ASX:TNE) was the best performing stock. Meanwhile, shares in Virgin Money UK (ASX:VUK) have dropped over 11 per cent after the withdrawal of financial targets planned for 2022.

September quarter capex falls 3%: ASX tracking 0.1% lower at noon

26 Nov 2020 - The ASX opened lower and is now tracking 0.1% lower at noon. Harvey Norman (ASX:HVN) shares have shot up after reporting a 160.1% increase in profit before tax between July 1 and October 31. Meanwhile, shares in Virgin Money UK (ASX:VUK) have dropped after they withdrew their finance year 2022 targets.
